Dave Kelly, regional director

Following administrative roles in the civil service, Dave Kelly started his IT career in 1989 as a business analyst, moving into programming and project management before leaving the Government to take up more challenging roles in the private sector.

Dave is now responsible for SDLC’s Scottish Office, with responsibility for growing all aspects of the Scottish operation. His specialist areas of comment include project management and the end to end development cycle, in addition to non-functional requirement challenges and Central Government IT systems.


Pete Stock, managing director

Pete Stock is the managing director of SDLC Solutions and has over twenty years experience in the computing industry. With expertise in project management, analysis and solutions architecture, Pete is responsible for SDLC’s overall business direction within Solutions, Training and Recruitment, including finance, sales and marketing, strategy and operations. Prior to SDLC Solutions, Pete worked in a number of roles across industry and the public sector, culminating in the setting up of Compuware’s Northern Office and Project Management Division.

Pete’s specialist areas of comment include the impact of IT on business and the application of business models.


Mike Avery, operations director

Mike Avery has more than 20 years experience in the IT industry, both in client-facing and operational roles. Prior to joining SDLC Solutions, he was the director of business applications for a large global IT systems integrator. Leading a team of 1,800 staff, he was responsible for the management of a diverse portfolio of system applications with a revenue stream of over £200m per annum. 

In November 2005, Mike joined SDLC Solutions as the operations director with responsibility for the day to day running of the company. His specific areas of focus include implementing best practice into all areas of the company and growing the business to its full potential. This operational focus has proven to be effective as, since the operations role was created, the company has more than doubled in size with revenue and profit growth to match.


Dave Hallam, business development director

Dave Hallam is the business development director responsible for new business and, with Pete Stock, joint owner of the company.

Dave has over 20 years of experience in client-facing operational and managerial roles within the IT industry, both in the private and commercial sectors. His last role before establishing SDLC Solutions was as programme test manager for a global testing tools vendor, leading major testing projects for large systems integrators and financial institutions. Since joining SDLC Solutions, Dave has held joint responsibility for company strategy, as well as building the business base for the company's growth.

David's drive, enthusiasm and business knowledge has been a cornerstone of the company's success, with many loyal clients gaining real and tangible value from their relationship with SDLC.
