UNIX Administration and Support (4 days)

This course is for delegates who want to set up, deploy and maintain UNIX systems.

Course contents
- Installation: install, partitioning, use of daemons
- Maintaining file systems: creation, mounting local and remote systems
- Managing file systems: repartitioning, configuration and consistency checking
- Managing users: creation, configuration and support
- Backup and recovery: software management and restores
- Security: user privileges, password controls and disabling services
- Networking: internet, shell and remote commands

Pre-requisites
UNIX knowledge and experience to a satisfactory level where the delegate is comfortable with basic commands and usage of UNIX or Linux.
